Nora Ritchie 

MY STORY

I’m a seasoned showrunner, producer, editor and creative executive.

Most recently, I was an Executive Producer at Stitcher Studios (part of SiriusXM Podcasts), where I spent 8 years. I led a team of producers and managed a slate of award-winning podcasts including Vibe Check (named a top podcast by The New York Times and Vogue), the James Beard award-winning food and culture podcast The Sporkful, Audible’s Editor Picks, Podcrushed and more. I was also the story editor for The Sporkful.

Previously, I led the team behind Unladylike, a Webby award-winning show about gender, feminism and culture that was named one of Spotify’s top podcasts of 2018. I’ve also worked as a producer for the Katie Couric show, Fake the Nation hosted by Negin Farsad, By the Book and American Diagnosis hosted by Dr. Celine Gounder.

I love mentoring producers and have created countless professional development trainings around story editing, listening skills, finding your audience and more.

Prior to working in audio, I worked at William Morris Endeavor as as an assistant to the legendary music agent Cara Lewis, spent years as a professional musician (I sing!) and worked as a research assistant in environmental law at Columbia University.

I’m a graduate of Poynter's 2024 Leaderships Academy for Women in Digital Media, a highly competitive program for emerging leaders in digital media. I was a Summer Fellow at Union Docs and studied Story Editing at SALT with Robert Smith.

I got my start in audio when I was one of nine people chosen to study audio storytelling at the prestigious Transom Story Workshop in Woods Hole, MA. I also studied at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. I am a proud graduate of UMASS-Amherst, with a degree in Social Thought and Political Economy and a minor in Vocal Jazz.
